Water Infusions

Hello people

So you know how we all about the most important meal of the day…Well what is the most important drink of the day??? You know that liquid that falls from the sky, another clue is that liquid that makes up 71% of the earth’s surface & last clue something God has created & did put it in a can for us to enjoy… Yip you guessed it! Our body needs about 4 glasses of “Water” just to start the day & a total of 8 glasses for the entire day to survive.

Some say, “We have so many alternative drinks out there, why water?”.  Because of this, people genuinely struggle to drink water, , but I’ll be honest, myself included! I tend to be a lazy water drinker, I literally have to put a water reminder alarm on & I am not the only one. So I found a creative motivation to drinking water, I added natural flavours to water… With the use of herbs, fruits & spices …Nothing fancy just whatever you have available at home.

All you do is take a water infuser bottle, or water dispenser, or even a simple jug of water & add flavouring to it. Some ideas you can use:

  • Add a few slice of citrus lemon, slices of cumber & mint leaves, add water & leave it to infuse about 1-2 hours & trust me, it is so refreshing it actually shakes me up in the morning.
  • Another one that’s tasty is couple of strawberries, slice them up, add a few lime slices & basil leaves & leave that to infuse in the water.
  • Some of those who are adventurous this one’s for u… Add to your water apple slices & a few cinnamon sticks & leave that to infuse.
  • A spicy sweet one is a few peach slices & finely chopped ginger in your infuser.

And believe you me, this is a great way to encourage lazy water drinkers to make the most of the blessing from Our Creator & really the options of flavours are endless…

For those caffeine drinkers in the morning black tea, black coffee, fruit based teas even, herbal teas have a huge number of benefits & can also be used as a water intake replacement.

There are so many out there to choose from, but just to mention a few:

Lemongrass Tea settles the tummy after a meal, calms the nervous system, reduces anxiety, so if you know you up for a pretty crazy day…than go for this one!

Also Green Tea improves the brain functionality, maintains a healthy weight & protects the body from diseases. Why else do you think Chinese people live until such old ages & rarely have any bad health issues, wise guys 😉

And lastly the awesome fruit smoothies !!! Most people misunderstand “Smooooooooothies” & load them with stuff, but its pretty simple. Just add a few fruits, low fat yoghurt & water, blend it together & that will do the trick.

Bon Appetit!
