Hello again from far away (I started typing this post while I was in KL)
The most key thing about traveling to any destination is having that little place of your own that you can call home. Basically a home away from home. However I wish it was a permanent home with regards to the no responsibilities, no chores & definitely no cleaning up the place…I could get used to this life, lol. A vacation is the time for pampering, pleasure & where hotel staff are only fixated on serving you & your utmost happiness. Being a guest in a hotel is every child’s escape, every man’s investment & of course every house wife’s dream.
With Hilton Honours you get to achieve all of this & get treated like some celebrity, which I must say was ultra freaking awesome during our stay in any Hilton Hotel.
Hilton Doubletree Kuala Lumpur
The Suite
As a Diamond Honours member, we were fortunate enough to be upgraded in every hotel into…Suites! Making our vacay to the Far East a fantastic trip! KL was where it all began. The space in this room was incredible, with a stunning view of the rest of KL. Staying for 5 days in this suite, was an absolute breeze, even thou we were hardly there…There is just something about a spacious room that after an actioned packed day in the city & lots of shopping, you can just drop down your shopping bags wherever you like & just chill.

The Executive Lounge

What also is a plus is the access to the executive lounge all day free drinks hot/cold as you like. A quiet retreat as I used to call it my pit stop during a busy running around city. We enjoyed the fruits, finger food snacks & cookies.

The Makan Kitchen Breakfast Lounge
The Makan Kitchen Breakfast lounge had a huge spread of 6 different kitchens cuisines that all make up Malaysian cuisine. So there are 6 sections e.g. The Chinese section with a Chinese deco themed dining room & all Chinese foods that you can think off were prepared there. Same for the Indian kitchen & all the other 4 cuisines, you get my point! All these kitchens had their own chefs in open air live before our eyes preparing whatever we requested. The kitchen served breakfast at 6:30am until 10:30am, it would get crowded towards 9am. The staff were friendly & speedily attentive to our request. My fav thing, every morning was at the Indian kitchen, there was this chef that made these fresh hot naans that was rolled out super thin & than pan seared, OMG! They tasted amazing in the morning.

Hotel Facilities
The gym was medium sized & had enough treadmills, which faced the out side pool area & if you look up, you see the Patronas Towers. Way cool view dude! But an even more rewarding walk with the same view, is a quick walk from the hotel to the towers itself & that literally was a 15 minutes walk.

Overall, a great hotel, good service from the staff & situated in prime location near the Patronas Towers, but if your purpose in KL is shopping than I suggest you book closer to Bukit Bintang Road by the shopping hot spots.
